Development Update October 16th

I have written around 40k words of chapter 5 and am nearing the final stretch of it. I think it might well turn out to be a bit less than the 60k words I anticipated, but it doesn't really matter. The chapter ends where it would be appropriate to end it, the word count is more just to keep track of progress. Just to give you some perspective, the entire story, as far as I have written it at this point in time, is around 225k words long. That's with branching paths and coding, of course, but quite the number none the less.
So yeah, chapter 5 is coming along. Still haven't decided on a title though, it's a bit of a problem. I have a few ideas, but none of them are really all that great. Oh well, worst case scenario I can always just leave it at "Chapter5"/change it later. I doubt anyone really cares all that much.
The Lester short story is finished and will go up tomorrow, so there's that as well.
I hope you don't mind the update post being a bit shorter than usual, I don't really want to talk about chapter 5 any more than I already have since that would lean too much into heavy spoiler territory. I'm also still thinking about a discord server, changing things up here on patreon, and that tarot thing I mentioned a while ago, but that's all stuff I want to get to when chapter 5 is finished. So until then, there's not much to report.
