Out of curiousity, Is there anything at all special about the main character that allows them to have a certain level of control over the Werm? or is the MC just as much a slave to the Werm as everyone else? (in other words the MC is the MC because of the alien abduction and acquiring the parasites in the first place and not because they are special and have some sort of power over the Werm) The way the MC carries around a bunch of parasites without the parasites infesting them, assuming the mc isn't carrying around 50+ biohazard grade containment vessels directly (or at the very least indirectly) implies that the mc does have some sort of power over the parasites by being able to prevent them from infesting the mc (assuming they are not fully infested)
