Books, books, books!

So, I just tried to use some hand lotion... I usually don't use the stuff, but it's been so cold and dry lately, that my hands are getting dry. And that's really only a problem when handling paper- like these books, plus thank-you cards, wrapping paper, etc. I can't grip any of it well, so it's rather frustrating to try and print, wrap, stack, etc.

So I broke out a dusty old bottle of some anti-germ, moisturizing hand lotion I had in the back of a bathroom drawer.

And, apparently, my hands are covered with tiny papercuts. :)

I'm not sure it would have felt any worse grabbing hold of a 480 volt cable. :D

Anyway, just took another big load of books to the PO, so we're down to a short stack remaining that need to be sketched, and less than half of the Canadian and Overseas stuff left. Virtually all of which should be out the door by Wednesday, or at the latest, Thursday.

Thanks again, to everyone who bought, and keep in mind, I still have plenty left! :)

I lived in North Idaho for almost a decade. I feel your pain. Hands would get chapped and cracked and then putting sanitizer on them or getting citrus on them (chef here) would just be a world of pain. I agree with the above post - Gold Bond works wonders and it doesn't normally leave a greasy residue.

Ah, the sting of alcohol on cuts. Fun Times. (If I'm gonna do that, I prefer rum, taken internally, as a painkiller. :)

Doc. Gold Bond Ultimate Healing Hand Cream. Use it. Lotion never really worked for my chapped hands but this stuff is amazing.

And I thought brake cleaner was good for finding cuts.

Heh, I feel your pain. I worked 28 years for USPS where paper cuts are a daily hazard. Get some non-alcohol hand lotion because sanitizer will only dry your skin out even more. The acid in paper burned off most of my fingerprints on my index fingers.

That's one thing hand sanitizer is great for - figuring out if you actually cut yourself or if that one didn't make it through the callus. It's always an interesting experience after eight hours handling cash and stocking cigarettes. Quite bracing.
