I use Overcast on iOS (~$10/yr to avoid advertising) - it is a pretty nice podcast app. Works for multiple podcasts and has a lots of configuration options, including ability to speed up playback and edit out dead time.

It was consplained* to me (on Michael Shermer's substack) that gametes are the determinant of gender, just look at the glossary of this giant textbook on biology, ignore the other 500+ pages of science.
