Distilled water -- I'm a bit behind, so just listened to this episode. In the segment on water harvesting, Jay and Steve had a brief conversation about the mineral content of the collected water. I think it was Jay who said it wasn't safe to drink distilled water. That's false, and it's an old myth like the 8 glasses myth. The amount of minerals in a person's diet from water is negligible. A person gets more minerals in just one regular meal than in several days worth of water. Drinking distilled water is completely safe. Given the nature of the show, I figured it was worth busting this myth.

2024-07-30 16:10:31 +0000 UTCWhile I do identify with music that I grew up with (even stuff that I wasn't keen on at the time), I do enjoy some of the stuff coming out today. But not everything. My daughter doesn't like classical music (while ridesharing to school with the vicar), but she does say that what I listen to is good.
