Added 2018-06-21 09:11:03 +0000 UTCStep 3 is cleaning up the linework. This one took a bit longer than a comic strip would, since I blew it up considerably larger than a typical comic panel. (It's obviously shown reduced, here.)
So it wasn't just cleaning up points and such, it was also "trimming down" lines that were larger than necessary. And, of course, all sorts of minor tweaks: Miki's left ankle, redrawing her eye, tweaking the heck out of the coffepot, having to delete all the black shading, and so on.
Next up, color! :)

Back when comic books were hand-drawn, they used 11"x17" (also known as "ledger" or "tabloid" in the U.S.) Bristol board that was photo-reduced to print at under 7"x10.5" for a golden/silver age comic. Today you can do something similar with a larger image size for working and then save a reduced copy (at the right DPI) for printing or posting.

2018-06-21 15:14:00 +0000 UTCI like how the surface of the coffee is white, but the coffee itself is black. I also like how the coffee isn't just flat and still, it's sloshing around in the pot. Good way of making the scene more dynamic and interesting. Details!
