Reposting...

I received a complaint about Saturday's 'bonus' strip- shown above- and yeah, it might be just a touch to risque`  to leave in the archives.

It'll be taken out of the system in the morning when the comic updates- strip 2452 will lead directly to 2453. But, it's still kind of artsy strip that I like how it came out (though I wanted it darker than it is) so I'm reposting it here.

I can only assume that someone mistook Doc's forearm and hand for something else. And I'm no expert on polar bear anatomy, but even so I'm pretty sure theirs isn't attached at the solar plexus.

PLEASE don't take it out of the archive! at the very least, leave it in some form - it's an important part of the development of their relationship, and it's a tender, lovely, warm and intimate moment. The strip would be the poorer for losing it. Please don't let ONE complaint rob everybody else? I really think you should leave it as-is, but I bet dollars to donuts if you just made it a little less obvious what the position was, that you wouldn't get a complaint again. At least show the silhouette of the two embracing or something with the beautiful sky behind... it would still express the emotional development and intimacy in progress, and I guess then Patreon members could see "what's next." But really...just leave it there. Leave it in the archive. People reading through your archive are less likely to respond in a knee-jerk "do something about it now" fashion, since clearly the deed was done. Again - there's nothing detailed for children to see and anything going on is almost entirely in the mind off the beholder, who therefore have no one but themselves to blame if it seems salacious!

Kerin Schiesser

Yeah - leave it. It's not like anyone could prove it's more than two people in the same place at the same time, anyway. Anything salacious is all in THEIR head (and ours, enjoyably). And as noted, apparently there wasn't an objection to any number of violent events. Don't bow to the pressure to condone violence at the expense of treasuring love.... censorship is odious in any case, but especially when it is excessive and small-minded, and unnecessary to protect anyone from harm. Kids young enough won't have a clue what's going on in any detail, and those old enough will not be exposed to anything other than the idea of mutually consenting adults enjoying time together with love and affection and are provided with NO graphic details. Stick to your guns - leave it up!

Kerin Schiesser

It’s amazing how the fake violence of the strip is okay by prevailing social standards but plain ol’ nookie/lovin’ ain’t. Leave it up, I say.

Nothing wrong with the image BUT the distribution of stars... they almost appear evenly-spaced ;)

There's absolutely NOTHING wrong with it as is. It's a perfect ending to the arc and the hypersensitive snowflake prudes need to get a life. SMH.

I liked it.

I think the only way to save this is to make the two be really playing with a mix of Knex and Lego. ...... It is a very nice piece as it is. It truely is....however, whiteboard is what Doc want's it to be, but this entire arc, and it's a well earned Arc for Doc, is beyond the Paintball Field. So...ya. Lot's of stuff have been.

To get really creative, you could make it a GIF with a series of progressively darker images to make it literally fade to black. Because I know you don't have anything else to do [/sarc]

I don't understand how someone could be upset about this, but not about some of the other strips in this series. In my opinion, the strips with Cara in lingerie making thinly veiled entendres are much more risque than this. This is romantic, there's no dialogue, and you can't see any details on either body, whereas previous strips have a full frontal view of Cara in underwear as she makes sexual jokes. Which is better titillation material - a female in a bra making sex jokes, or a vague silhouette? Which do you think would be more likely to give someone the "wrong" view of sex? But I've been enjoying everything so far. Who am I to speculate about what goes on in the minds of the naysayers?
