For a really good book on synesthesia read "Wednesday is Indigo Blue." There are numerous types of links between senses and more. Numbers, letters, days, months, time, and people can have colors. Letters and months can have spatial relationships to each other. Letters can have personalities. Sounds can generate visual sensations. And more.
