The dark (read dirty) side of cheap collars.

Heyya, just wanted to film this little video to show how the cheaper collars (like this cheap SM collar rip off ) can cause quite the mess, especially when worn long term. Cheap metals and close skin contact down go together well.

Does anyone here has had experience with SM collars? Has anything like this ever happened to you?

I have some really good news coming your way soon and hopefully I can treat myself and you all with some really good quality collars!! Just working on sorting out the last few formalities in the background!! :)

Thank you

Yes thanks do the costs of the rings get expensive into the thousands ? Do they need to be worn all the time to see results ?

Bee Hummer

Good and quality collars can be quite pricey. But it's worth the extra cost otherwise you can end up with a green neck like me in this video.

Collars can be custom made, but it's not always needed. Check out eternity Collars web page - https://www.eternitycollars.com/?bg_ref=EUvjoTpCJM and they also have a video tutorial how to measure your neck and how to choose the right sizing for yourself.

Like the collars ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Are these neck collars custom made like do they fit all necks or you need to get it custom made to fit do you know where if someone wants to purchase one is cost expensive ? Thanks

Because this is a cheap rip off version of a collar unfortunately, so they don't care about the quality or the longevity of the product. That's the difference between good and bad brands. In a way I'm happy to be the experimental bonny with these cheper brands, to show you all the difference and why it's worth paying extra for a good product :)

I also can't understand why they save on material with a collar like this and a brass lock doesn't work at all, everyone knows that brass forms verdigris on the skin :-(

Not sure neither if it can be exchanged...you would need some relevant skills and tools for that I believe....and I would suggest to go for the 50 mm Swedish collar in stainless steel....:)

Oh thank you ๐Ÿ˜Š and yes, the rash isn't a pleasant thing, it's still healing but it's sooo itchy ๐Ÿซ  but it's definitely from the moisture that's been trapped underneath.

Marta Klinta

Some future seeing wizard you are my friend? ๐Ÿคญ Fingers crossed I'll have a real SM factory collar soon ๐Ÿฅฐ

Marta Klinta

Hmm... need to see whether the lock can be exchanged to another one. And I would definitely choose a real SM collar or even a Swedish collar over this one, but at the time I did really have the money for the expensive brands. Hopefully soon I can upgrade!

I did know someone wearing a SM collar - but not on a day to day basis - and it was as well a different one. But would fully agree that this is coming from the mix of the metals from the lock....maybe there is a chance to exchange the lock....there are lock on the market (like from Abus) which are made without Cooper..as far as I know. Or maybe the Swedish collars would be an alternative.....

And i have a strong feeling you will own a sm-factory collar not that far in the future!

Cute video again - well, as always! Green color - cobber from the brass mix?? I has a sm factory collar but cant wear it - girl size. But i known 2 girls who has used them for long periodes - Ping from Sweden and nGila (her fetlife "name") and they never talked about dicoloring. nGila did get a rash but probably more from the moist invionment. And those top neck rings are snug - look fantastic!!!

Oh thank you so much!! Trying my best to share the reality of it all with you :)
