We are excited to announce that entries for ‘2025 Learn Shamisen TAIKAI’ are now open!
This is a great chance to showcase everything you have been working on.
Just like last year, submit your performance by video.

Top entries will receive special prizes, so keep practicing and do not miss out!

How to Enter

Step 1: Record your playing

(ONE RULE: We need to see the Dou (Shamisen body), Bachi and Sao (Shamisen neck)– you can record your whole body if you wish! But at the very least we need a clear view of the Dou, Bachi and Sao from the front!)

Step 2: Upload your video (UNLISTED) to YouTube

(IMPORTANT: Please include your Patreon Username in the title of the video)

Step 3: Use the Learn Shamisen Patreon Message to send us a link to your video.

Important Notes

・Tuning:
① For the Tsugaru Jongara Bushi Kyokubiki Division, pleae feel free to choose any tuning that suits you.
② For the Performer’s Choice Division, please follow the tuning used in the corresponding lesson video.

・Do NOT edit the sound!

・Again, please ensure that the Dou, Bachi and Sao are visible in the video!

【応募方法】

ステップ1 - 自分の演奏を撮影する

※必ず正面から撮影し、胴と撥・棹がしっかり映るようにしてください。

ステップ2 - ご自身でYouTubeに限定公開でアップロード

※タイトルに自分のPatreonのユーザー名と曲名をいれてください

ステップ3 - そのURLをLearn ShamisenのPatreonメッセージで送る

【注意点】

・必ず三味線の胴と棹の部分が両方写るように全身を撮影してください（顔を映すかどうかは自由です）

・調絃は①課題曲部門の曲弾きは好きな高さに合わせて演奏してください。②自由曲部門は各曲のレッスン動画を見て合わせてください。

・音の加工はしないでください
