2021 Wrap-up

As far as art goes, 2021 ended up being quite a year! Somehow it simultaneously went by really quickly and slowly at the same time. Looking at some of the earlier commissions this year I couldn't believe they were less than a year old - it feels like I drew them so long ago! I drew some of my best work - both commission work and personal - this year. I was able to leave my job and tackle freelance art for the past four months and so far I'm staying as afloat as can be expected!
I've been able to do more commission work without the stress of drawing after a full day's work, and aside from a Christmas break I've been able to put out a Lesser Than Three strip every week! I'm really happy to let Tanner and co. really run wild now. On top of that I finally hit my first Patreon stretch goal - almost exactly at that pledge goal - but that was a great milestone and incredibly rewarding to see happen.
As far as next year? Aside from keeping up with commissions, I've been working on a longer Lesser Than Three story that's set to be my longest yet (to the tune of "I don't even know how many pages yet"), and I'm getting pretty close to finishing the script. It's a story I've been wanting to write for quite some time and it will be the first step towards writing scenes I've been wanting to write for literal years. I think you guys are gonna like it! Plus 2022 will be my third year on Patreon in May, so I might have to come up with some fun there!
What did you think of this year on my Patreon? Is there anything you particularly enjoyed, or something you'd like to see going forward? I'd love to hear any feedback you might have. Having all your support has meant the world - especially these past four months. I'm not that great with words (Maybe that's why writing Tanner comes so easily?) so I only have so many ways to express my thanks - but seriously thank all of you! It blows my mind knowing that people care about my art and characters to support it every month, that I have patrons who not only support me monthly but also will get commissions as well. 2021 was certainly... a year, but your support helped make it a year of growth. Knowing that I had a bit of fallback if commissions dried up was one of the things that made me take the leap into finally trying to make this a career. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Here's hoping that 2022 is a better year all around!
