Tanner Character Spotlight - Sketches
Added 2021-12-16 00:37:36 +0000 UTCNot quite as prompt as Eli's was, but Tanner month bears some fruit! I actually have his writeup and chronological drawings ready, but need to put on the finishing touch with his drawing!
You know what Tanner gets that Eli didn't? Concept art for his new outfit! Unlike Eli I wasn't quite settled on a design for his jacket right away. So I started with a mannequin - a Tannequin, if you will.
First pass was a zipped open jacket that he kept half open, which I liked the idea of but wasn't feeling the actual jacket design. The pants were finalized immediately though, I imagine those pockets probably reach down to his ankles.
The next one is the design I ended up going with (hence the extra details on Tanner himself), a simple sports jacket. Doesn't open up anymore, but still looks decently nice on him! All my sketches of Tanner turn out 100% cuter than the finalized drawings, haha.
One more slight revision that amused me but in the end I thought simpler worked better for this one. I'll probably revisit the logo down the road because it suits him so well. Also a bonus detail on his pants this time around to match the shirt.
And the sketch for his monthly spotlight pic + revisions! Tanner bought himself some snacks and is excited to get home to eat 'em!
