NaviGirl 4: The Lost Files (Preview)

Waaaaaay back when I was just another internet expansion artist occasionally drawing a B.E. illustration or creating a morph, I had an art gallery at the Breast Expansion Archive ("BEA"). During that time, I have created "mascots" who would appear on the home page, much like Vanna White on Wheel of Fortune. Many art sights (expansion, anime, fan-service) at the time would have a similar female hostess. I called mine the NaviGirls (navigation girl), since they were on the home page where the main navigation buttons were.

My NaviGirls were different in that there was a hidden clickable link (a link map) on the GIF that would take to the next image in the sequence, and that sequence was breast expansion.

It was 2001. (Yes... almost 24 years ago!) After NaviGirl 3, there was a loooong pause in my art for many reasons: I was busy at my "real life" job, I was beginning work on "Milk Farm" (the FIRST grOw issue, and possibly the first B.E.-focused comic on the internet). I wasn't sure how it would be released yet. In fact, it wasn't to be release for another 4 years at this point. (Yes, "Milk Farm" took 5 years.) I wanted to make the next NaviGirl something way beyond the previous three.

In came Flash, Adobe's animation and website creation tool. And with it, I was going to make NaviGirl 4 move, speak, and show movie-like cut scenes!

Well, work on "Milk Farm" and my real life work eventually shut down that idea. I actually had completed a LOT of work on the project; but I soon realized that there was a LOT MORE to go, and I could only do so much. The project was eventually scrapped.

But, recently, I was looking through old files and I came across the flash animation files for NaviGirl 4. They are in swf format (Flash animation), and I had a very difficult time converting these to mp4 format. Every program I downloaded did not work, resulting in only the sound and no images, or 1 frame of animation being processed. So, I had to result in recording my computer screen while I played the file in a Flash player. The sound was recorded by my Mac's mic as the movie played from the speakers, so it's a little muffled.

The movies were digitized at a much larger size than how they were intended to be shown. Bandwidth was a big issue back then, so some of these movies where meant to be displayed about 640 x 480 px or even smaller (the 1st movie was about 400 x 320 px, thus, the pixelation of some art).

Here are the "lost" NaviGirl 4 movies, some of which have NEVER been seen before. For those looking for actual expansion, there is only a little in the first movie. For timeline accuracy, watch them in order (file names are numbered). Click the links below each section to watch online via my Google Drive. ⬆️⬆️ 1) NaviGirl 4 teaser trailer:  This was the announcement at the BEA about a new, Flash-based gallery coming soon! It shows new paintings and drawings (which were from the early stages of "Milk Farm"). It also introduces Kat, NaviGirl 4 (aka "Katalina Bustalova").

⬆️⬆️ 3) Opening Movie: When you entered my new Gallery, I was going to give the option to watch the "opening movie" which introduces Kat in action at my Gallery.
    Story:  Kat (NG4) was a spy. She is jumped by BustArtist's goons. (BustArtist being the arch villain who is trying to enlarge the world's breasts, natch.)

⬆️⬆️ 4) Gallery:  (NEVER BEFORE RELEASED!) This was going to be the interactive gallery. I created a demo movie here. It was supposed to be "BustArtist's Lair" that Kat had infiltrated. You were to look through his files to help her. But there was a hidden control. On the bottom right was a panel on the control board. Opening this up, you'd find a button. Click the button... would start the B.E. That was never created, unfortunately, but you do see how it would have happened...

⬆️⬆️ 5) Climax:   (NEVER BEFORE RELEASED!) Once you figured the growth sequence out, you would be taken to the final scene. Here, Kat is racing after BustArtist and his goons after learning that they had installed their BE-gun to helicopters and planned on enlarging the world. Kat chases them down to stop them by sacrificing herself. The movie is rough and unfinished, and is interspersed with animation and rough pencil storyboard art. It ends abruptly after Kat gets shot for the first time.

Spoiler:
Planned ending (not created): When Kat grabs onto BA's helicopter, he tells his goons to shot her with the BE ray. She gets hit over and over, growing larger and larger. However, this adds weight to the copter causing it to crash. Kat jumps free and is safe. BA disappears... only to reemerge again!
