You get to climb all the trees you could ever wish for and nobody ever gets upset when you sharpen your claws on the bark. It's not even that bad finding something to eat. You can catch almost anything yourself, and when you don't feel like it the humans will gladly give you something to eat if you look adorable enough.
But there are downsides too. The worst part of living outside has to be finding shelter from the storms that run through the area all the time. And this particular storm has been raging non-stop for days now. Your usual spot in the bushes was fine at first, but it's been too long. You are wet, cold, and hungry. And to make matters worse a dog has been sniffing around.
