Patreon Picks #8: The Sodder Children

A light sleeper, Jennie was disrupted again 30 minutes later at around 1 am on Christmas morning.  What sounded like a hard rubber ball landed on the tar and wood roof of the family’s cottage. It rolled down the roof. Then there was silence.  Exhausted, Jennie ignored the noise, rolling over and going back to sleep.

Comments

I wonder if anyone known Sodder relative has entered their DNA in any commercial website, on the off chance the siblings didn't die in the fire. Sorry if my comment is redundant.

Jessica Able

This was super sad!! I can’t imagine losing so many children and never knowing what actually happened.

Kate Price

Really interesting case thank you

Michelle Gray

This case is absolutely wild, I can't believe this is the first time I'm hearing of it! Internet rabbit hole, here I come. So heartbreaking and what on earth happened to those children?

Emma G

What a bizarre mystery. Like Maya I was also hoping Casey would do the strange laugh!

End of an era...turns out that Sylvia died last month https://www.wvgazettemail.com/obituaries/sylvia-paxton/article_eb50dc1f-1551-58c2-9763-2642ac0979a1.html

Great story! I've heard it a couple of times over the years but this was truly the easiest to follow. The details are so bizarre most people get sidetracked during the story.

Demi

Really interesting 🤨 case ... I think the poor children perished, but perhaps it was deliberately lit also

Rosie Overell

Weird that Casey didn’t take up everyone’s suggestion of imitating the strange laugh haha

Maya George

I don‘t know the case. Will listen now

David Rogosaroff

I'm actually wondering why this particular case doesn't need a full episode.

Bob Trenwith
