2019-05-17 10:14:17 +0000 UTCHi Addison, Id always had interest in various cases ever since I was younger. It was more so I wasn't a daily true crime consumer, it more came in waves. But when I was deep into a case - I went really deep. WM3, the Sydney underworld of the late 70's and 80's, Manson, to name a few. The most rewarding thing is working with such a talented and hard working group of people and having such a fantastic and dedicated audience.

You don't have too, they all stand alone. But there are things that cross reference between books along the way that you can pick up on.

2019-05-16 02:50:51 +0000 UTCHi Liv. Yes taking breaks is important. Personally exercise is the biggest thing for me. It's the favourite thing to clear my mind. Ive also recently gotten into yoga and meditation to balance things out. It's really important to take breaks and look after yourself.

From the quality/experience/competency of the investigative team, to the technology available at the time, to whether or not there were witnesses, or evidence left behind, CCTV footage, phone or digital evidence, and so many other things as well. Those were just a few examples. Each case is so unique.

I think I read in an article that you weren’t really a fan of true crime before you (anonymous host) started the podcast. Love the show, I’ve been listening for a long time and I’ve loved watching it grow into what it is now!

As an American, I really enjoy hearing about the Aussie cases and others from around the globe. I love hearing all of the cases and diving deep into research on all of them after listening. Do you think the campaign against him was silly? Or do you think podcasters should be liable to being pushed out if a group disagrees with their style? It’s not a trick question, no right or wrong answer really. I’m just curious your opinion! Keep up the magic!

I know Casey has a love of Michael Connelly, so, what book do you suggest I start with? From the limited selection my local book store had, "The Black Box" looks like a ton of fun, but so does "Blood Work". How does exploring the darkest sides of human behavior affect you and your team? Do you develop a certain distance or numbness after a while, or do you need to pause, to escape from these images and stories? I guess I’m asking; what do you do to keep yourself from burning out?

2019-05-07 02:39:05 +0000 UTCYes! It just doesn't make sense how he'd let his wife sink like that. He'd done his advanced and rescue, start of the dive so he had a full tank. Why didn't he descend and get her, even if he couldn't save her life? Its not like she sank to bottomless depths - it was only 30m if I remember correctly. You don't just watch someone sink and do nothing, especially not your husband/wife!
