TYPED AMA FOR ALL PATRONS
Added 2019-03-04 04:44:48 +0000 UTCPatreon no longer offers the 'go live' feature for live typed chats, and the new platform we tried for that didn't work out. So this month we will trial running the typed AMA here on patreon. Casey will be 'live' on patreon this Thursday 12pm Australian Eastern Daylight Time.
(Wednesday 5pm Pacific Time. 8pm Eastern)
The AMA will be on this very post. So you can of course get your questions in early by posting below, however the questions wont be answered until the above time.
Alternatively you can join Casey live for a typed chat.

2019-03-07 21:30:32 +0000 UTCHi Katrina, the answer is yes! When we first started on patreon they were in order. With later pledges it's not quite that way. But given when you joined, you are in order of when you pledged!

2019-03-07 04:10:49 +0000 UTCThats great that they listen, I am sure it gives them food for thought when on the job . Thanks for responding

2019-03-07 01:59:18 +0000 UTCHi Christopher. I like the story to be told neutrally, sticking to the facts. No opinion or agenda. And a host figure/personality could take away from that. We like the focus to be on the stories - not on a host.

2019-03-07 01:38:07 +0000 UTCCan you comment on why you choose to remain anonymous? I like it! Just curious on the reason. Thanks!

2019-03-07 01:29:45 +0000 UTCHi Christopher, most likely not. We feel like it is well done at this point. And the audible original Evil has a name covers it all really well. But - who knows, maybe we will do something in the future.

2019-03-07 01:19:40 +0000 UTCHi Callie, thank you for signing up :) This has happened to me before yes. More than once. It's not common and doesn't happen often. But it has happened, particularly when really deep into research on a case. When the whole week or longer has been spent on a deep dive. That's when it can happen. No, no one close to me has ever had any issues with cases.
Casefile True Crime
2019-03-07 01:18:58 +0000 UTCHi Noreen. Not interviewed, but have been contacted before being requested to highlight a case - this has been rare though. It doesn't happen often. However we do often get messages from LE from all over the world saying that they listen.

2019-03-07 01:16:51 +0000 UTCHi Katrina, I will find this out and let you know!

2019-03-07 01:12:11 +0000 UTCHi Cate. We have visited locations before, and will continue too into the future. But the majority are done online. It's hard to put an exact time on them, as they are all so different. But from start to finish, including research, writing and production - minimum 4 weeks per episode. So there are always multiple episodes going at once, multiple being researched, written etc.

2019-03-07 01:08:28 +0000 UTCThank you very much Issak, much appreciated. This is an easy one - pretty much all of them!

2019-03-07 01:06:30 +0000 UTCThank you Wendy. there are some really good bands there, so I wouldn't mind going. No tickets yet though.

2019-03-07 01:03:55 +0000 UTCHi Jessica, thats a good question. I unfortunately can't answer that. Best keep my thoughts to myself until there is a resolution. Sorry I cant offer more insight. But the last thing I would want to do is jeopardise anything or cause further issues.
Casefile True Crime
2019-03-07 00:59:36 +0000 UTCHi Jake. Yes we have had both sides. People who have taken issue and people who have been positive. I can't go into the specifics, but we have seen all sides.

2019-03-07 00:56:08 +0000 UTCHi Derek, it is on our list of options to try if this doesn't work out.

2019-03-07 00:55:40 +0000 UTCHi all, I am hanging out live now to answer your questions.
Casefile True Crime
2019-03-07 00:55:20 +0000 UTCAre you planning on doing another in-depth original night stalker episode with any additional things that have come to light since your case update?
Christopher Roland
2019-03-06 03:50:24 +0000 UTCI just signed up today and wanted to say I truly appreciate all you and your team does. My question: Do you ever find yourself dreaming of cases your working on? Also, does your significant other or person close to you, ever have issue with any of the cases you with on?
Callie Lanceford
2019-03-05 19:01:24 +0000 UTCHave you ever been interviewed by Law enforcement in relations to any unsolved case case in a effort to help it along ?
Noreen Naroo Pucci
2019-03-04 16:12:14 +0000 UTCAre the Patreon names listed on your website in order of when they pledged? Just want to know for bragging rights
Katrina
2019-03-04 13:13:38 +0000 UTCI'm new and haven't gotten thru all the items posted on Patreon so sorry if this has been asked. I understand that each case is different, but what's the average amount of time it takes to research and then write a show? Do researchers ever visit physical locations or is it mostly done online?
Cate Ness
2019-03-04 13:08:22 +0000 UTCWhat I love about this show specifically, is your unbiased narration of every case. Other than EARONS or Snowtown, has there ever been a bad guy on a case that you REALLY wanted to express your opinions towards? I know they’re all bad, but just one or a few that really got under your skin, we’re all human here. Also, the amount of effort and research you all put into this show is what makes it so incredible and deserving of any and all praise, thank you.
Issak
2019-03-04 06:07:55 +0000 UTCYou have mighty fine taste in Music.. will you be at Download Festival? 🤘
Wendy Smith
2019-03-04 05:52:48 +0000 UTCWhat is the case you’ve been most frustrated with? Essentially I mean, what’s the case where you felt people should have been able to solve it immediately but we’re held up by beaurocracy?
Jessica Brazalovich
2019-03-04 05:47:25 +0000 UTCHave you ever had anyone take issue with a case, say a family member of the culprit or victim? Or in the other spectrum, has anyone involved directly in a case reached out in a positive manner after an episode? Obviously not expecting specifics or even the cases it regards, just curious if it is something that affects the team. Thanks for all you do guys.
