AUDIO AMA

It's that time again. Fire your questions in for the recorded AMA with Mike, Bonnie and I. We will be recording next week, so plenty of time to think them up!

What is your favorite book? And why?

Jennifer Guidry

To the host, has anyone ever recognised your voice?

Jess Elms

How do you take care of yourself and your mental health?

Catherine L.

1. Do you take suggestions for cases that might be worthwhile to cover? There is an interesting serial killer case unfolding in my area & it has gotten a bit of buzz, I would love to hear your narration of it! 2. Is there a reason you included less audio of recoded media surrounding the case? (Such as police interviews or press conferences) 3. Have you heard of the band Big Smoke and their album “Time is Golden?”

Emma Baillargeon

Was there a reason you chose the case you did for # 100? It felt like a nice competent to #1. Do you think either case will ever be solved? Any personal inclinations/thoughts as to what happened based on your team's research?

Matt Riggle

One thing I love about Casey & Casefile is the level of respect & empathy they have towards the victim & the victims’ loved ones. This results in a very serious tone & demeanor — which I appreciate. That said, who is your favorite standup comedian and/or comedy special? I’m interested in Casey’s answer the most — but would love to know more about all of the Casefile’s team sense of humor. My current favorite comedian is John Mulaney. Followed by Dave Chappelle — particularly his early specials: Killin’ Me Softly & Live at the Filmore.

What TV crime shows did you love growing up? My mother gave me my love of mystery. She would see R rated movies and then tell me about it the next day at her lunch. We did this from when I was home sick in middle school to I was old enough to go with her! (Dad didn’t want to go anyway LOL!!) Perhaps ones mom watched like Columbo or America’s Most Wanted? My all time favs are The X-Files, Quincy, Alfred Hitchcock presents, America’s most wanted and unsolved mysteries! What were some of you early interests that lead to to where you are today? If it’s a regional show, some of us in the States need you to please explain it!

Jennifer Guidry

Also, another question if I may, now you have hit the 100th case mark (congratulations!) - which episode has the most downloads?

Captain Flint

Any plans in the pipeline to do any more cases from the North of England? (Yorkshire, Lancashire area?)

Captain Flint

Will there be anymore mini episodes coming in the near future?

Nick P

Hi, love the podcast please keep up the good work. What sort of work did you do before this?

Tracy

Hello Casefile folk! I had a question about Richard Britton (from the ELLA TUNDRA Tundra casefile) and his book THE WORLD ROSE. I wondered if he can still obtain a profit from this book which is linked to his stalking charge filed by Ella Durant?

John

How do you go about adding new writers / researchers to the Casefile team? Is there an official process or does it just sort of happen organically? Do you make new team members sign a non-disclosure agreement in order to maintain your anonymity? Haha

Jennifer Murphy

I love this podcast! It keeps me busy all day at work, so that I don't have to have a huge snore-fest. And many cases I have never heard! So THANK YOU FOR THAT!! My question is what is the process in deciding which cases to research and what makes it worth your time? Another question, do we have any multi-part series coming again soon? Loved the most recent: Toy Box Series and East Area Rapist was my all time favorite and kept me on my toes!!

Madison Bevil

Also Casey, how many people know this is what you do?

Katya Sobotnik

Have any cases ever made you change the way you lead your life? Example: not walking alone at night, maybe checking in on a neighbour you haven’t seen in a little while, writing down a license plate of a suspicious car, not as trusting, more sympathetic to police and lawyers etc because they deal with these incidences continuously?

Katya Sobotnik

Given that you’ll hit 100 episodes this week, looking back, what are you most proud of with regards to the pod? Looking forward to the next 100!

Ian Hume

In light of the recent unfortunate event in Melbourne there has been much discussion around members of the public getting involved versus evacuating the scene. What are you thoughts on if members of the public should stay and help like the trolley guy or evacuate and leave the police resolve the threat?

Da Guru Bro

Where is your favourite place to holiday? I only ask as I live in the beautiful Whitsundays ;) P.S. Love your work!
