And i'm already investigating other game engines, preferrably open source or single paid with the least amount of bureaucracy behind it, but yeah this whole situation sucks a whole lot

2023-09-17 17:26:34 +0000 UTCBUT, if they do as some people have talked about (only tax after a certain number of downloads or revenue has been reached) then i might still keep using Unity as a base for my games. I'd hate to ditch over 3 years of learning this engine because of someone's decision

2023-09-17 17:24:28 +0000 UTCHi! Thank you!! Well, that purple light still doesn't do anything because i haven't implemented yet (still figuring out how to continue with the lore). And yes, i've read about it and i'm still waiting for unity to give a more clear description on how this system works. If anything goes bad i hope i won't have to delete all my games made in Unity because of that.

2023-09-17 17:22:29 +0000 UTCI think I came across one possible bug where in the third variation of the forest, the one corner with the purple light doesn't do anything like I think it's supposed to (like it doesn't progress the game or teleport us anywhere). Otherwise the game is going good. However an important thing that I just learn about the company that owns the unity engine. Apparently they are planning on charging indie developers on every install of any content made on the unity engine. I don't know if you have heard of that yet but I wanted to give you a heads up in case you haven't. I like your game and definitely want to see more, but if the owners of the unity engine are going through with they're insane proposal, I would recommend switching to a different engine. The unity owners are digging their company's own grave. Good luck to you Myst.
