July 2024 Development Update
Added 2024-07-02 21:31:46 +0000 UTCHello Adventurers,
This month has been a whopper, Where Evil Lives took up a bunch of time, both fixing monster parsing and mapping the adventure. If you're on the fence about the MCDM stuff, it's wonderful breath of fresh air from the dozen or so monsters that are in every official adventure!
A new feature for those of you not running a full automation suite, is simple macros. These are macros added to things like spell descriptions. The initial pack includes Lay On Hands, Arcane Recovery, Spell Refueling Ring infusion, Sacred Weapon, and Font of Magic.
A number of small improvements were made for Pathmunch, Tokenizer, Note Licker, and Active Auras. Additionally, a number of background improvements were made around the image proxy to improve reliability. I spent a fair amount of time trying to make some tutorial video content for Tokenizer, but am undecided if to release it or not - it's not the best quality material.
In the last week or so we have started to see previews of the changes in the 2024 addition of D&D. It's become clear that quite a lot is changing. Although it remains to be seen, I suspect automation may be in quite a state for some time following the release for the 2024 content. At the moment however it's just a whole bunch of unknowns.
This month is going to be more sedate. Infinite Staircase is being released, and a number of background improvements are taking place.
Thank you for your continued support
