Hey, guys. I hope the new year treats you well so far. Here's a new Melinda's sprite to catch your attention.
I have a question for you and I really hope to hear your opinion. Mild spoilers ahead:
As Blake gets more comfortable in his new home, this new home tries to influence him as well. There's a non-optional scene where you have to tell Melinda about… something. Something very intimate. And you have two options: to tell her the truth or try to lie. Now, the immediate results are the same, but it will have some conequences later. I put a lot of effort into this scene, writing six completely unique dialogues for every type of Blake's personality that you can develop so far. However, my issue is that both options for «tell the truth» route are pretty tragic, and even sad. This or course is done to give this whole situation some depth, and Melinda's reaction is supposed to portrait her as a cold-hearted villain, but I do have some second thoughts about the tone overall. Do I need to punch Blake down that much? I've heard some complaints about the humorous aspect of the story, and how it blends together with the serious predicament, and I'm really curious what do you think about that. Are you satisfied with the tone so far? Do I need to make any adjustments? Thanks in advance.
