Ali, Andrew, Austin, and Jack join together to play the playtest version of Avery Alder's Dream Askew, a game which imagines an asymmetrical post-apocalypse asks its players to take up the role as survivors in a queer enclave, confronting challenges and to build a society of their own.
In our case, that means imagining what might happen sometime after the events of the There Is No Greater Love arc of Bluff City (though having listened to those eps isn't necessary to jump in here!) There's a gay-club-turned-hub-of-survivor-activity, a mysterious outsider with a working phone, a public access radio stations, and, of course, a techno-religious clown android academic.
This session is mostly character and enclave building, with a light tease of what comes next.
Also, heads up, though we don't get into some of these things in this session, Dream Askew carries a content warning for violence, gangs, oppression, bigotry, and queer sexuality.
