Where have I been? - An Update

Hello! I know my uploads are few and far between (though that wasn't supposed to be the case for this series), my update posts are usually pretty frequent. Clearly, that hasn't been the case as of late.

So what’s the holdup?

Well, Elyse and I bought a house together! It’s a 1940s home, and with that, a bit of a fixer-upper.

I mentioned a while back that pretty big life things were delaying Part 5, and what that was, was us closing on the the house. Now, months later, moving in and destroying kitchen walls has delayed Part 7!

Eventually, there’ll be a whole video series on every renovation we’re doing, more than likely a new house-dedicated channel (maybe Fingerprints Homestead?), but that’ll be a year down the line.

What does this mean for the bike series?

Good question, thank you for asking. There’s still so much work left to be done on the house, but we’re shifting gears to only doing renovation work on evenings and weekends. So it’s back to the day job for Elyse and back to video making for me.

As of right now, the bike is done. Like, not restored done… but all work that I wanted to do in this series is completed. So woo! It’s such a relief to be able to say that. As for videos, there’s going to be 3 more releases:

Gas tank repair (Part 7)
Last little fixes (Part 8)
Finale video (Part 9)

7 and 8 I have completely filmed, but I literally just finished working and rode the bike for the first time today. I’ll need a few more days of filming beauty shots, POV riding, and other little things for the finale, but that’s not too far away!

I have the script completely written for Part 7, so I just need to get to narrating and editing. It’ll be out early March!
