Hi Patreons! As we are fast approaching the 2 year anniversary I thought it would be a great opportunity to take note of what has been popular on Patreon and what more can I offer going forward.

Current state
To give you an overview, there is a small group of active (+visible/ vocal) members which have formed a friendly remote photography club vibe via the monthly Zoom calls and our private Patreon Facebook group. (Currently all men so ladies we'd love you to join to balance up the opinions!) (A vast range of ages, countries and experiences so suits everyone). We share ideas/ work and ask questions with each other and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to chat cameras (doesn't need to be Leica) and wants to get the most from this platform.
*For everyone that supports me but I never get to say hello to, thanks I appreciate it!

Future state (Patreon Plus/ £3+ / £4.50+)
When new people joined 2 years ago there were probably 3 or 4 videos and a few posts they could consume. Roll forward to today and for £3 new members get to access over 100+ videos and another 100+ posts instantly.
I try to teach in what I share but it is a mis-mash of less structured knowledge. As I keep promising photography courses I will bundle up some of the old Patreon videos and posts, polish them up a bit, add some structure and make them available to non-Patreons as a one-off purchases.
I will still post new £3+ level videos each month going forward but group Zoom access will now be £5+ (Almost, if not all "active members" are £5/£8+tier so I don't think it affects anyone).

Future state (Patreon Pro/ £5+ / £7.50+)
From July I will share 1 new structured learning video a month which will form the base of future courses content.
Group Zoom calls will now be for £5+ members and the format will change. The plan is to split the 2 calls to include (A1/A2) + (B1/B2). Call A and B alternating 1 and 2 Bi-monthly.
A1) The usual "confessions time" of who bought what new camera this month! :) / chat, catchup and general banter/ Q&A.
A2) Members present their favourite portfolio images for group critique sessions
B1) Me teaching specific topics (Lightroom, Photoshop, lighting, posing, composition, exposure..)
B2) Guest speakers teaching their craft / area of expertise
I will announce dates and topics a month+ in advance and mention on social media for anyone on the £3+ levels/ non-Patreons wanting to sign up to join a call specific to Lightroom workflow, for example.

Note* Thursday 23rd June Zoom - One-off, Everyone welcome!
Changes will not take place until July so if you've never dialed in on a group Zoom call and wish to do so the call is at 8pm UK time and I will send an invite via Patreon 24hrs before (approx). (I appreciate due to time zone differences this might not work for everyone*) That way you can get a taster of what it's like. Join us!
*I imagine it's daunting for any fellow introverts to dial in on a call where other people already know each other but you can dial in and just listen. (I'd be the same i'm sure.. especially the me a few years ago. I have to talk now with YouTube and all ha!) Some members love to chat so sometimes I can barely get a word in edgeways myself! :P

Hopefully the change will not negatively impact anyone and will provide an upside for anyone looking to learn and/ or get more involved.
And as a last note, for any long term Patreons you can now save 10% if you pay 12 months in one go. That wasn't an option in the past so you might not have seen it.
I pasted a screenshot of the basic tier differences above (updated for Jul 22).

Have a great weekend when it arrives! Onwards and upwards! Matt
