Itll be lovely to actually see ur reaction to it after such a long time of waiting of their debutt soon. This last month they have been quite active as well as they participated in CEGs new year event in macau if im not mistaking (where Zihaos recent live of his new song was as well) and they performed their new song alongside black mamba, higher wire and growl.

What a shame for Jo Minjae, i’m sure he will debut somewhere else (he did a new cover on YouTube you should Check it out) You were asking a lot about leadership, it has been almost confirmed Jang Hyunjun is the leader as in their first ot7 fanmeeting he was the center of the picture and the only one leading the group during the event. It’s not surprising if they voted for him as he did lead almost all debut members during the show. But some speculate of a co-leading situation with Junpyo. This live final was a bit weird, announcing the eliminated first was really heartbreaking for everybody but at the same time they all got the chance to say goodbye. The debut members were still in sorrow and shock when they receive their good news, the vibe was a bit off and the end was a bit abrupt, I saw a lot of videos on twitter of them celebrating at the end, hugging each other.. this final was rushed and not fully done we were just all sad at the end, even for me when my first pick made it.

Omggggg!! More excitement and heartbreak to look forward to I guess haha. Maybe we'll see some of our boys from MakeMate1 on there??!! I also agree with the music; this new group, I hope it's not just cute fluffy music they debut with. I love that sound and will always love that concept, but it seems from the members that were ultimately chosen you'd think they’re gonna go with something more mature but in your face? I don’t know, we'll see soon enough!

Speaking of rigging, did you see there's going to be a second Boys Planet probably early or late next year? KCON LA announced it right after ZB1's performance, and the show is going to be called 'Planet B' or something. I'm gonna watch it of course (alongside Road To Kingdom 2 because I'm a survival show addict and I need more people to know about TNX) but like I'm curious to see if it's gonna be set up with korean vs. foreign trainees again. Regarding this group, I hope it goes for a darker concept. I feel like upbeat and feel good has been done over and over and noise music has been through the ringer, I'm personally hopping for something SF9-inspired or maybe 2018/19 Seventeen-adjacent. I just pray to god they have a good budget.

2024-07-27 06:03:40 +0000 UTCLet me tell you this, survival shows shoudn't all stick with their idea of debuting a specific amount of members. Remember when JYP actually decided to change his mind on the amount of people that got into Stray Kids, or when YG decided to make Babymonster a 7 member group instead of a 5 member goup? The amount of members should be measured by 4 things: Talent, Skills, Passion and Presence. If you have multiple people that have those traits, then you might have to ajust the number of people. In my opinion, they should have debuted all 16 and maybe even people that got eliminated last episode should debut. Like in Boys Planet, I thought 3/4 of them could have debued because of how good the trainees were. The problem is that people want to get into smaller groups because it is easier to remember people. The thing that works is what NCT and TripleS are doing, splitting them up into several groups under 1 family.

I finally had some free time since the end of the school year and watched MakeMate and like I don't feel horrible about the final lineup (I adore Bing Fan and there is something SO special about Yuseop) but Yundeok and Minjae deserved a spot imo. If I could rig it I'd add them to the lineup

But maaaaaaan....a lot of the guys eliminated were focused so heavily on this show and made such a lasting impression both in talent and personality.

I closely followed many survival shows now and the ones that hit the hardest are the smaller ones because I feel it's easier to get attached to more of the members. I just want all of these hard working guys with big dreams to succeed.

I don’t think any of my picks were from wearing blinders; none of those guys ever gave bad performances or were called out for not meeting expectations. It all came down to them just not getting enough votes. Some of the debuting members became popular before the show really started to even focus on them (namely Bing Fan and Lin) -- which is fine; the purpose of these shows is to attract as much attention to its contestants, I get that. But I liked everyone that was ultimately chosen lol. Always interesting to hear different perspectives. I would love the guys who didn't make it to form their own group as I think their chemistry works so well with each other. Although I will admit I think Yundeok and Yuseop make a killer duo!!

I love your reactions and have enjoyed watching this with you but I think you had some blinders on with your picks. I did not think Yun Deok or the young/15 year old Hyun Jun would make it. I think your guy Min Jae would make it because he has great vocals but I did notice that he has been falling behind in performances. He just seems to be lacking in dance skills

AND JIAHAO??? this episode got me depressed AFF my top 3 yundeok, minjae and jiahao didnt even make it. I honestly still cant believe it. 😔😔they lost the best vocalist, best performer and best personality. hyun joon was so great too. i’m just disappointed overall. but still happy for everyone who made the lineup. im just waiting for minjae to get recruited by a good vocalist company like SM entertainment or smth cus he honestly deserved so much better. this is reminding me about how i felt with jay chang on boys planet 😭😭😭
