Bit of a scary topic today, but I wanted to share my experience and take  on all the attacks that have been happening to various YouTube Creators  -

do you use sandboxie? This is an app that creates a VM window that you can run programs and browsers in that is completely isolated. For day to day activities only open web apps in sandboxie and its like running the program on a separate machine (obviously you can not run any program or download in the sandbox for use outside sandboxie.) For the times where you need to download and install stuff open a normal browser but the rest of the time run the isolated one. My icon on my desktop for chrome is a sandboxed chrome so its not even any extra step to open it. You can mix and match apps on the desktop without an issue.

You are quite wise in many ways. Moving the PDF to an isolated computer was genius! I do some cyber security and I cant tell you how many clients would just click everything! I have to assume Linus has some serious antivirus or it was a shoe makers son scenario? Is there any way to turn off the ability for commenters to add links?
