Np and my pleasure! Your drawings really do stand out to me in the sea of art that I've seen on IG and elsewhere, so your doubts are probably just a result of looking at your own work too much as you said. I do photography as a hobby and can relate; I often stare at one photo for entirely too long while I'm postprocessing it and the longer I look at it the more I hate it for whatever little details are bothering me. By the time I'm exporting the photo I usually don't even like it very much any more. But what I've found is that I'll look at the finished result a week or two later and be much happier with it than I remember being while editing; I think because taking that time away gives me an opportunity to stop focusing so intently on the perceived flaws, and on a fresh look I'm really only looking at the good parts. Regardless, I do think your art is crazy good. There's a lot of artists out there doing the sort of anime-inspired drawing style but yours is a cut above IMO, I think you really take advantage of the strengths of the art style; like you almost never have any dialogue in your drawings yet the emotions are always so crystal clear, buy you also stay very anatomically proportional in a way that leads me to assume you practiced drawing the human form a LOT. I also love your use of color and shading, like when you're doing shadows from directional lighting or that awesome color layering technique that you do in the Grawlix lollipop pic or the Suki Dia de los Muertos one. Idk I gotta stop gushing about it but your drawings are wonderful, and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more drawings of your OCs! Oh and I'm hoping that Still Here will be available to watch in full sometime soon!

(this was one of them) Maybe it's because I've looked at every corner of my style for a bit too long haha In any case, these are motivating. I really appreciate it!

2025-03-08 00:35:47 +0000 UTCMan, I just love every drawing you've done of Grawlix. She's suuuch a cute character and the way you draw faces makes her so ridiculously expressive. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the nudes and lewds a lot and your anatomy game is on point, but even in those kinds of drawings her face is the highlight of the picture. You fit so much emotion into the eyes, and I love how her mouth is usually off in some far corner of her face instead of being anywhere close to the centerline. Sorry for the blog post but a picture of Grawlix came up in my Instagram Explore page a few days ago and I subbed just to see more drawings of her. Awesome OC design and your drawings are some of my favorites that I've seen on IG.
