[Multiverse2] Ch: 8 [A new threat?!]

As we floated in the cold, silent void of space, my hold on the armored Kryptonian's neck tightened. The Earth, a faraway blue ball in the background, shimmered. My gaze was drawn to the moon. It looks even better from here. Last time, I was here, I didn't have the chance to take in this awesome view. And since I'm already here, I might just as well take a little detour.

"Hey, how about a trip to the moon?" I suggested to the struggling Kryptonian in my grasp. "It's been on my bucket list for a while."

The girl could only stare at me furiously. She tried to break free, but her attempts were in vain. I smiled as I propelled us towards the moon. The journey across space was swift, and we were soon in orbit around Earth's celestial neighbor. The moon's empty, grey surface stretched out in front of us. I slammed her on the moon's ground. Her body went crashing on the surface, far away.

Dang! It feels great. My adaptability skill is holding on just fine. But still... I can't believe I am standing on the moon.

"ARGGG!" The girl launched herself at me, taking advantage of the moon's gravitational pull.

I swiftly avoided her charge, and she wooshed past me, unable to control her trajectory due to the moon's lower gravity. She tumbled and rolled across the lunar surface before coming to a stop.

"It's weird," I narrowed my brows, "You are a Kryptonian, and yet you are affected by gravity?! Who are you? Where did you come from? What's your goal? And finally, are you really a Kryptonian or some kind of lab breed?"

The armored Kryptonian struggled to her feet on the moon's surface. Her helmet, now cracked and damaged from the impact, revealed her face. Just as I thought. She looks exactly like Power Girl! And some weird wires are pulsating around her forehead.

There's only rage etched on her face. Mind control! I hate mind control. Fuck! This brings back some nasty memories of my ex.

As I approached her, my aura strings burst forth, ripping apart the damaged armor she wore with ease. The shattered pieces of her protective suit fell to the moon's surface like discarded debris. The girl stood there on the moon's surface, her body exposed to the harsh lunar environment. Wires and strange devices protruded from her forehead, suggesting that she had been under some form of technology mind control.

She gazed at me with a mix of anger and confusion, her eyes filled with a hint of desperation. But she remained silent, her lips tightly sealed.

Out of nowhere, a beam of white light enveloped the armored Kryptonian, teleporting her away. My eyes darted around, searching for any clues, but there was no immediate trace of where she had gone.

"Teleporter..." I muttered under my breath, clearly frustrated by the sudden turn of events. The question of who had come to retrieve her remained unanswered.

[Location: Unknown] [Unknown Spaceship] [3rd person pov]

A colossal ship loomed in the vast, star-studded expanse of space. The dark, sleek hull of the vessel glistened with a metallic sheen, making it almost imperceptible against the backdrop of the cosmos. The ship's design was a fusion of advanced technology and alien aesthetics, with angular, intricate patterns etched into its surface. Purple and green lights glowed from various ports, adding an eerie ambiance to its presence.

A humanoid alien observed the fierce battle between the Kryptonian and Alex from the command center of his immense spaceship. His bald, green-skinned head gleamed with an otherworldly sheen, and his eyes were cold, piercing orbs of red light. Tubes and wires jutted from various ports on his skull, giving him a distinctively inhuman appearance.

As he watched the confrontation unfold, his mechanical fingers danced across a holographic interface, manipulating the spaceship's advanced technology with effortless precision.

"Scan that human."

The alien's mechanical fingers swiftly executed the scan command, and a thin, elongated tube extended from the command center towards the green-skinned humanoid's head, connecting with one of the ports on his skull. The scanning process commenced, with data and readings appearing on holographic displays surrounding him.

However, to his surprise, the scan encountered an error. The advanced technology of the spaceship was unable to process or understand the complex and unique nature of that human's abilities. The result displayed on the holographic interface was a string of incomprehensible symbols and error messages.

The alien's red eyes narrowed in frustration as he reviewed the results. He was dealing with something beyond the capabilities of his technology. This human posed a significant enigma that required further investigation.

"What is it about this human that defies our scans?" the alien muttered, his curiosity piqued as he leaned forward, "You will be the first human I will add to my private collection." He activated the teleporter.

[Back on Earth] [Location: Crystal Island] [First person pov]

I used a teleportation scroll that I bought from the System's shop.

[Whoosh!] The world around me blurred, and I found myself back on Crystal Island, standing just a few feet away from the Blue Crystal restaurant.

I couldn't help but feel a mix of relief and curiosity. The armored Kryptonian's sudden appearance and her subsequent disappearance raised more questions than answers. Who was controlling her? And what was their purpose? A new threat, huh?!

Well, at least we avoided some massive damage. The serene atmosphere of our romantic evening had been thoroughly disrupted. I sighed, realizing that our peaceful dinner was a lost cause. It seemed that trouble had a way of finding us, even on our honeymoon.

Harley and Power Girl walked over to me.

"Where is she?" Power Girl asked, still clutching her stomach.

"Well, she vanished," I said, shaking my head. "I managed to strip her of her armor, and she had some mind control stuff going on. But before I could learn more, she was teleported away."

She frowned, clearly concerned about the mysterious Kryptonian, "That's exactly what happened with the other two I fought."

I kept on staring at her face. Her hair is short compared to the armored girl.

"What? Something on my face?" She narrowed her brows.

"Except from dirt and mud, there is nothin' I can see. Maybe he has taken a liking to you," Harley chimed in, nudging her arm with a naughty grin.

"Do you happen to have a twin sister?" I asked curiously.

"No, Superman and I are the only Kryptonians alive," Kara replied.

"Well, this is getting weirder by the minute. She looks exactly like you," I muttered, scratching my head. "I've got a feeling we've stumbled onto something bigger here. Mind control and more Kryptonians? That's not your typical Tuesday."

Kara frowned, clearly deep in thought, "We need to find out who's behind this and what they want. To think there are more Kryptonians other than us... Maybe some escaped before Krypton's destruction... Maybe she is my sister... I... Just... Sorry for messing up your honeymoon. I need to go."

"You goin' already?" Harley asked with a concerned look on her face, "You need to take care of that injury..."

As she prepared to fly away, she turned to us one last time, her expression dead serious, "I'll be fine. Just a bit of sunlight will fix everything. Take care, you two." With a powerful leap, she soared into the sky, quickly becoming a distant figure against the backdrop of Crystal Island's horizon.

Harley and I watched her depart, a mix of concern and curiosity on our faces. The mysteries surrounding the other Kryptonians and the mind control technology... As much as I wanted to look into it, I'm going to be a bit selfish this time and enjoy my time with Harley.

"Well, that was quite an unexpected turn of events," I mused, running a hand through my hair.

"Yeah," Harley agreed, "Our honeymoon sure has been... eventful."

I chuckled, "That's an understatement. But hey, at least it's not boring."

As we walked back to our mansion on Crystal Island, the remnants of our interrupted dinner at the Blue Crystal restaurant behind us, the moonlight cast a serene glow over the island. Despite the unexpected events, the cool breeze and the sound of the ocean waves provided a soothing backdrop to our footsteps.

Harley walked beside me, her hand gently intertwined with mine, "You think another disaster is coming for Earth?" Her voice was filled with concern as she touched her belly with her free hand.

"Who knows?" I said as I pulled her closer, embracing her reassuringly in my arms. "We are just going to enjoy whatever peace we can get. So, don't think too much about disaster or things like that, yeah?"

Harley's face lit up, her signature devilish grin making an appearance. I kissed her right cheek.

"How about some chocolate fun tonight?" She licked her lips hungrily.

"Oi, naughty." My hands squeezed her buttocks in response.

The sweet sound of her laughter filled the air as I embraced her and our thoughts shifted to more pleasurable endeavors, the mysterious Kryptonian incident fading into the background of our minds.
