Quick Poll: 0.7.2 or 0.8

As I said in my previous update, I am currently rewriting the messages system, in order to correct the soft locking issues.
I'm facing a tough decision, though: should I focus on releasing a version 0.7.2 as soon as possible to let you enjoy the first 6 acts properly, or should I work on 0.8, giving me more time to make sure every system works correctly, but leaving you with a bugged build for two weeks and a half?
I think the latter would work better, but I'm asking for your opinion today.

I found a good fix (on android) is to create a save when replying back to any of the threads. Any time it soft locks, close and re load the save

You are already putting out a quality product and I would rather wait, then get something rushed as a hotfix, and get the whole 8.0.

2024-07-12 18:07:11 +0000 UTCWould enjoy a slow and steady hard work than the fast and sloppy, can't wait for .8 version! .7.2 would be to too short too quickly, and would be a lazy person to report every softlock. Waiting for .8 think its enough time to revisit the whole gameplay to see any new flags/check points, and revisiting the mean spirited Laura and her friends. So final vote is wait even 3 weeks for .8, I hope you don't suffer any time crunching. I would like to see more Ashleys teasing/mocking the cuck, and Tara's nanny moral compass and see if we can crack her fancy during this game we play. I have to pay respect to the title NETORASE phone, as I lean towards Netorare.

2024-07-12 18:03:41 +0000 UTCTo add to thoughts and feedback for future content: If the MC does get with other girls and with Laura, we get pictures of the MC with them and can do what Laura does with the MC where we describe what happens to her and send her pictures. Not just get a message from Laura saying "Hey last night was great/do better" or "Such and such told me about last night..."

2024-07-12 17:44:08 +0000 UTCFrom the stuff I have come across (I tend to try and avoid it when I can), NTR and cuckholding tend to overlap somewhat. That doesn’t mean they’re the same. Right now, from what I have seen in the story, it’s leaning more into cuckholding/demeaning/humiliation. That could have been a bug where I somehow got put into the sub side of the story, but I wanted to leave my feedback and what I’ve seen. I could be completely off base mind you.

Cuckolding vs Swinging being two different things, at least from my understanding. Swinging I believe being a two sided open relationship while cuckolding is one sided

2024-07-12 16:42:36 +0000 UTCI definitely think working on 0.8 would be the best option. I also personally hope we see more involvement of the MC in the future as well. While it’s definitely hot to see Laura getting into the sharing kink, the content I got to was getting very borderline cuck/NTR. Which is fine if that’s the story you actually want to tell. But I hope to see more agency from the MC and show the MC with Laura and the other girls as well as sharing Laura but maintaining that loving/respectful relationship they started with.

2024-07-12 15:25:29 +0000 UTCFrom my experience the biggest way to get the soft lock is by pressing Ctrl to skip, however iirc you cannot skip scenes you have not already seen. So I don’t believe people who are just starting would come across the issue if they are playing for the first time. Unsure entirely but that was my experience with coming across the soft locks

2024-07-12 15:20:25 +0000 UTCI voted on 0.7.2, but for a different reason - Will 0.7.2 reduce the likelihood of soft locks for people trying the game for the first time? I know I ran into some soft locks / loops which required restarting the chapter. I'd just flag that people trying the game based on the free build, who haven't played it before, may be turned off from the project / think that it is buggier than it is. Especially if these issues occur in earlier chapters?

Idk if that’s the word, but it wasn’t difficult finding a way to get past it. Honestly just starting the chapter over from memories and not using Ctrl to skip and voila
