(5/24/18) Day 2 and Tilesheets Done

Wow, there was waaay more wall tiles than I expected. I only barely got them all finished by tonight. I already loaded them images into the project, and tested them out alright. I drafted up Maria's house from SQI as well, but hadn't put in the furniture yet, so didn't think of showing it off. I think tomorrow I'll work on loading all of the tilesheets into the project and finish Maria's house, then also work on Maria's higher resolution sprite and maybe start working on her character portrait as well, I don't know for sure. Either way, tomorrow evening I'll be back with something to show off.

The file type didn't need to change, by formatting I meant the literal positioning of the tiles. There are a few tiles that fit to a particular theme, like a brick house. Originally, 4 48x48 tiles could be use for that brick wall in RPGMaker. However, if you just use the tiles straight from the original sheet like that, there are spots missing where tiles should have been. It's complicated to explain in text, but basically I had to fill in the blanks on my own by copying sections of the existing tiles, and using them to patch up the blanks. It worked well enough, but I noticed an issue last night where I might need to do even more. If it's true, I'm going to try using 24x24 tiles from the 48x48 sheet, and that could save a lot of time.

Just out of curiosity, if I may: What formats did it come from and have to be converted to? I expect you probably had to resize it as well.

Thanks for keeping us updated. I tried to watch the stream yesterday, but unlike the other two times I've done it, Picarto was having server issues or something and it would cut off after a few seconds of viewing. From your description it sounds like the tile stuff might be the single most tedius/least fun conversion you have to do, so I'm glad you seem to have gotten most of it out of the way now.
