4/13/18 and Deadline

Hey everyone, 

It's been a while since my last post, but I've been pretty busy with school. Today I have the first version of the MC from SQ redesigned in my new style. Now this style is a noticeable downgrade in detail from the portrait I did of the SQ2 MC, but this was a decision made by me so that I can spend less time on the actual artwork, and more on the game/story. Later today I'll also be starting work on the equipment system, and making it so clothes and things are interchangeable.

On another note, I recently made plans for my later semesters in university and have made an important decision. By the time next fall comes around, I'll be in the most busy time of my schooling, possibly my life. Because of those conditions, I will have hardly any time to work on the game like this, let alone find time for myself. My decision is that, if by the time my new classes start then, if I don't have the core engine of the game done (that will include working pause menus, spanking interface, dialogue/npc interaction, and lastly, a working demo of all of those) I will put the game on hiatus until I can find time to work on it again. However, I believe that if I DO have those things complete by that time, I can still make some progress in the game even alongside my studies, since development from then on would be done with concepts and systems I already developed and won't be as time consuming or mentally taxing. But that's then, and this is now. TTYL
