2/23/18 and Trial 4 (Inventory Test)

Hi errybady!

I have the next demo/trial thingy out for you all today. This was quit the task getting everything to work right, it felt like the bugs would never stop popping up. Finally I was able to get everything working. This new trial is focused on demoing the inventory menu, so some other interactions will not work properly (such as the stone signs). When the game starts up for you, click on the blue square on the upper right to load your inventory up with items. This is what I used in my tests. The other square can be clicked to give you only 1 Lotion item, if you're curious. To access the inventory menu, click on the little bag-bubble. From there, everything is controlled with the arrow keys and with the Z button to confirm, and the X button to deny, like back in rpgmaker. None of the USE options work with the items, since there aren't any stats on the player for them to affect yet! I'm looking for reports on bugs I didn't catch, but also critiques on the menu style, colors, font size, etc. 

Steps to run (as usual):

1. Extract DL'd file.

2. Run the index inside the file through firefox.

My next update will take more time, since I'm going to be working on the equipment screen and thus the player graphics, stats, and equipped inventory, which will be more complex than this I expect. I also have other work for school I need to do in the meantime.

All of the major characters will be staying, and as for what I can reuse from rpgmaker, it's pretty much everything in terms of art and sound. I have considered briefly upscaling the character resolution so that it isn't pixel art anymore, because pixel art is very tedious to do, but it's a very early idea.

I just hope you find someway of putting the old characters back in again. I have no idea if you even know what assets from the old game in RPGmaker you can reuse. Anyway, this looks neat, I'll give you that. I also like your new post about the implements so I gave you love on that.

It's temporary at the moment because it's the quickest and most efficient way for me to export. Once I do actual game demos I'll try other means.

Looks really good, I just downloaded it and I'm excited to see what you do with the Sumaki Stone in regards to the projected hologram! Looking forward to seeing more work, as always <3
