[UPDATE] What comes next...

So! Book 4 finale has finally dropped! Took me a damn while, but I'm glad to say I'm feeling quite proud of how it all turned out.

As always, I want to thank each and every one of you for your support and patience. Significantly more people gave me the time to gather my shit than I expected, and for that, I am very grateful. Sincerely, thank you.

And no, to those who frequent the chat: I will not be posting feet pics. Please stop asking.

Jokes aside, let's get back to the elephant in the room. Book 5.

So... What happens next?

Right off the bat, I will say that I don't have any kind of extended break planned before I continue writing, not a big one, anyway. I might take a bit of time to line things up before I really dig in, but with the time I've had to think about it, I don't believe I'll be needing particularly long to finish plotting things out.

I've developed a much healthier relationship with my work now, and while I'm not quite up to the same level of productivity as before. I'm doing things the right way and building upon a significantly less shaky foundation.

That being said, I will also not be making any kinds of promises or ETAs or giving schedules. I'll write as much as I can without breaking myself into pieces, and the chapters will come when they're finished.

Some among you might not feel comfortable continuing to pay for a Patreon with an uncertain, patchy schedule, and I completely understand that. But I can tell, deep down, that I will only bring myself closer and closer to completely burning out should I continue with the kind of bullheaded approach I've been employing for the past few years.

When it comes to writing faster, and more importantly, better, I think I'm on the right track here. And unnecessary stress from arbitrary deadlines just doesn't fit into this.

Besides, as some of you might have noticed, part 2 came a lot faster than part 1, despite actually being longer. In fact, when it comes to words written per number of days it took me to complete it, this was done rather quickly even by the standards of when I was fastest and most productive.

That concludes my rambling, scatterbrained update for you all.

And until book 5 starts, please go tell Reddit that book 4 isn't the last book in the series. Idk who tf is out here just spreading misinformation, but a ton of people have been saying that book 4 is going to be the end of the series for some reason. In fact, this rumor has become so widespread that Google AI deadass confirms it if you ask. what the fuck.

Anyway that's it from me. Have a good day!

Cheers!

How old are you🤨

I no joke cried when i finished catching up. It took me two months to build up the courage to read the last finale. This is one of those life defining books for me. I can’t wait for book 5. Ill send feet pics for faster release👀

Do not mind you taking your time at ALL as I think that will improve the quality but I would update us just so you loose less subscribers especially coming up on almost 2 months with no chapter or update

Real gold always shines. A healthy body and mind produces quality. Take care of yourself. Its normal to wait for years for trad. books.

You're doing great. Some authors go over 10 years between mainline releases. Having the instant satisfaction of the internet has made some people way too entitled. The deal with patreon is that you're trying to be a patron of the artists you like in a crowdsourced way. Even if you were just outputting a chapter every few months, as long as you're still trying to tell your story, I think people should be relatively happy. If you pulled a stunt like some of the more famous fantasy authors who shall remain nameless, that would be a different story. But you're doing your best during a stressful period in your life. Thank you for continuing to write and please take care of yourself to the best of your ability.
