A foul wind blows through the trees, disrupting the sickly fog but not dispersing it, every gap formed just welcoming yet more as if an unseen hand was repairing its work.
Underfoot the road once again threatens to disappear, the stone pavers pushed under the blighted soil by the passing of time.
Ahead, a wall takes shape through the mist as the path partitions into separate directions, behind which the ruins of an old inn that once welcomed weary travellers in the time before the blight wracked this land. These days it is little more than a reminder of the speed required to traverse this highway and the wisdom of turning back and circumventing this land all together.

Wow. This is a great example of why I love your maps. When I first looked at the top-down map, it looked like just-another-battlemap of ruins in a swamp ... HOWEVER, once I saw the perspective maps I was so impressed. I can't wait to use this with my players and intro with that broken-brick trail and those creepy trees. It gives such a great haunted vibe - well done!
