Need to get a little cold

Maybe I should continue my Ireland tale.  What was is like? We hiked a bit.  We hiked the circle of Kerry in Kenmare.  Though we hiked all day for 14 miles, we didn't make the full circle.  Grant got tired and dehydrated.  Lucky me I'm use to dehydration and painful feet, and I had a blister on the back of my foot that still seems to be healing.  I learned to bring two pairs of shoes since my feet will inevitably come to hate any pair I wear for a week straight. Although I don't remember ever having a problem with my converse.  I love a pair of converse, but they never seem to make it past a year with me. Probably because I wear them out doing stuff like this.

Kenmare itself is a tiny city with a few bars, a grocery store, and a few shops for tourists. I was lucky to find a thrift shop (charity shop) there. I love those, but they're tiny.  Kenmare was our second god awful experience with a bus driver in Ireland.  As we boarded the bus I realized I'd left my water bottle somewhere in this tiny city.  There were about 5 minutes for Grant to run the entire three streets of the town to try to find this bottle, but the bus began pulling out 3 minutes early.  I was still on the bus without Grant, and didn't know what to do.  Somehow I had the confidence to shoot out that the bus driver couldn't leave yet! My boyfriend was just about to be here.  It took me a while to converse with the driver because I couldn't understand his thick Irish accent.  It took me a few tries to realize he was definitely speaking English. I told him I'd get off the bus and find him. Although stupid to suggest, it pacified him a bit.  I don't think he was always so red in the face.  I ran the entire three blocks with my bleeding foot.  I usually suck at running so I was surprised I made it.  As I came around the bend of the last street, I panicked seeing that the bus was gone.  I hadn't seen Grant at all in my run, and the bus had all our stuff on it.  Luckily Grant was sitting at the corner with all our backpacks, and I threw myself on him.  I felt so relieved to see him... and our belongings.  He had gotten to the bus a minute or two after a left.  The bus driver gave Grant a fuss too, so Grant insisted on at least getting to take our stuff off the bus if the driver wanted to leave.  The bus left a minute before I got there (this is a very tiny town).

Although frustrated we decided to try it the  Irish way and see if we couldn't hitchhike the 5-6 hours to Galway.  We caught a ride ten minutes later with two French tourists about Grant's age who coincidentally were going in the same direction.  They were really cool.  We stopped off in a few cities for drinks, sightseeing, and lunch, then went our separate ways in Galway.  I was an asshole and feel asleep in the car most of the drive.  I wish I hadn't, but I never seem to get enough sleep ever.  My body will take over when it can.  I especially hadn't gotten much sleep in Europe.  There was too much to do and see and experience.
