I love an origin story (and the puppy was just too adorable for words), but it's true that the first one was too sparse. This one has the perfect amount of lore vs action, and the fights are almost like ballet, so amazing. About the dog's name: my brain is full of holes, so I quite honestly can't remember if he actually gives him a name in the franchise or what it is, but for me now rewatching this, he's called Cerberus. After all, he spends most of the movie with Charon guarding the doors of the underworld of assassins...
