Too many t-shirts say something snarky or rude these days. So I designed some that have a positive message

A comic parodying “those” kinds of t-shirts. They’re so culturally minute and specific that we don’t really have a specific term for them, yet have such distinctly recognizable trends and aesthetic flavor that they can be effectively parodied.

Scrapped ideas:

1. A shirt that said

“LETS GO BRANDON”

then below, in smaller text

“BRANDON IS THE NAME OF MY TEENAGE SON, WHO HAS AUTISM. WE ARE ALL VERY PROUD OF HIM”

This is probably funnier than, say, “Sarcasm Free-Zone”, or “I passed my game to be here” but I wanted to keep this one to a clean 8 (2 twitter posts) and I needed a few more straightforward jokes to set the pattern in motion, so that it could be subverted with an unexpectedly weirder shirt 3 (the entirety of the Wikipedia section for Federal Age of Consent Law).

The spongebob one doesn’t really fall under the same subgenre of t-shirt cringe, but I like the idea of the gangster spoingebob iconography representing, say, some kind of Scorsese-esque morality tale about the pitfalls of the gangster lifestyle. Maybe he gets executed by gangster Bugs Bunny, who was actually close friend of his, and that’s why he carries such a deep sadness on his face in that “Lord Forgive Me” meme? I’m just spitballing here. I didn’t have cable growing up, so I’ve never really watched Spongebob before, but frankly, he strikes me as a tedious Shintaro Kago-looking little troglodyte, and I’m glad to not understand the appeal. Kill that fucker.

I know you didn't, but for a second I thought the "level up" one was ripped right off Scott Pilgrim's body.
