A New Genre of Movie

A tried and true recipe for comedy: familiar thing we know the details of (mystery movies) + a humorous modifier (sex jokes), twisting the familiar into a goofy version of itself and subverting our expectations of the familiar. There's more to it than that, of course, but once you have that basic premise the potential joke opportunities will branch forward in front of you.
I think I probably rely on sex jokes more than the average internet cartoonist. Part of this, I think, is that I'm just really immature for my age, but another part comes from the notion of Eros and Thanatos: sex and death are the most basic and primal drivers of all our actions. Because of this, jokes about sex and punchlines involving people getting injured or killed are innately relatable to everyone, and can resonate on a deeper level. A simple viewing of America's Funniest Home Videos will confirm this theory.
