Its not often that I draw characters all tubby and fat. I never really thought I was very good at drawing it, and that is another excuse for me to not animate digestion stuff.
Having to think about how all the fat hangs off the body and making it look appealing always broke my brain. Maybe forcing myself to draw more of it will force me to improve... just need the motivation to draw it. So another red head, another waifu, gets the motivation going.
Is all good practice in the end.

You go realism and read morpho or you wing it and just use a combination of anatomy knowledge+form knowhow and try to copy how other cartoony fat artists you like do it. If you enjoy the thought of being able to do it in a way that's satisfying to you, I'd attempt both and see where you want to land on the scale between the two options.
