I’ve shot quite a bit of erotic imagery (a lot will appear here soon).
As always, you have to question what makes an image erotic and what makes it Pørn (the Ø is because you are not allowed to write the other phrase).
Explicitness in itself doesn’t do much for me. Emotion plays a large part, though: I'm intrigued if the model appears to have an experience or feels something.
So imagine this image, in a version where the model looked straight into the camera and smiled.
In my opinion it wouldn’t work.
However, if she wore a mischievous smile, it might.
With a mischievous smile, you get to imagine she’s flirting or teasing you, so it becomes a story.
A passive smile and open vulva do nothing for me.
