My Hero S2 Episodes 17 & 18

Comments

As someone who normally doesn't react to things at all, I'm just stating the obvious but, this is why I watch Reaction videos, to see people's reactions to animes I like. So to me, seeing you two getting mad at the police dogman is quite satisfying.

you guys nailed a theory on this episode i wont say what it is until you guys get there xD, now more about stain, i think you guys missed it and its not a spoiler because you already think that endevour is a bad dad and a good heroe, you are not wrong. remember when stain saw Endeavor thats when he went full on evil aura is because out of all heroes he is the most fake of all, at minute 51 you guys started talking about getting people who only chase the money and the power and did something wrong with it, and you havent seen it ... Endeavor!!, using his power to marry a girl with a perfect quirk to create a child that will surpass all might and mistreating all his family XD thats exactly what stain hates Endeavor like people. also being a good person doesnt make you a good heroe thats what you missing about the ideology of stain, he said something else on this episode he hates people that say the right things and are all good but they never act, all talk no show. Stain ideology is the foundation on what is about to happen in all the rest of the story.

That is the problem with Stain, he has a "standard" for heroes but his stanards are subjective. He doesn't know the heroes - he just guesses thier motives. Since Ingenium is part of a big company owned by his family he probably pre-judged him, just on outward appreances, just because he was born into a "priviledged" family. That is the hypocracy if Stain.

It’s crazy, in retrospect, how important Stain is to the series. Despite being taken out so early, his ideology echoes throughout the story, even into the final season.

I can’t wait for you guys to meet Bakugo’s uncle Muscular

I really love these episodes and your reflections on it. I think stain was a turned point for the show, cause even though MHA has been a “happy” show (and not that serious), we’ve already seen some flaws in hero society, and we’ll see even more as the story goes on. That’s why season 2 is one of my favorites, it really sets the foundation for the message of MHA and the author’s vision.

Are you just making things up? It’s literally a scene from the manga, way before the anime even aired and has nothing to do with the VA. Also, it makes no sense when you say his characters injure their arms, because Todoroki is the only one of the boys who isn’t injured. And yes, Eren injured or lost his arms at some point but that isn’t anything "iconic", since he and a lot of other characters got injured or lost limbs in AoT, it’s just that kind of show. Plus, he could selfheal anyway, so it didn’t have any longterm effect. His other popular characters also aren’t known for hand or arm injuries, like Kenma from Haikyuu or Meliodas from 7DS, for example.

Todoroki saying "I feel like if I get involved, other people mess up their hand" is an inside joke about his voice actor, Yuki Kaji. A lot of characters voiced by Kaji have iconic scenes of injuring/losing arms, which is regarded as the famous "Kaji curse": if you are voiced by Kaji, your arm is fucked. He is the literal "Hand Crusher" lol. One example you know about is Eren Yeager from Attack on Titan.

I think you should be able to watch the opening now without spoilers. Ending too!
