Chapter 18 - My Time with Them

As usual, I'll address the paying supporters first so they can skip the parts they've already read. If you haven't played chapter 18 yet, play this one. The link to the walkthrough is also linked below.

The development calendar has been updated: I will do my best to stick to it, Chapters 19 and 20 aren't as big as this chapter. What's worrying is the execution, it's the succeeding chapters after those aforementioned that might match this chapter's size. I'm also going to start poking on re-rendering book 1 as well, the visual difference between chapters 1-11 and 12-18 is almost night and day since I was still learning then. Now, I can't believe we're making chapters this long at an incredible pace; albeit still missing calendar dates, Hopefully, I'll be able to attract more audience once the rerendering of book 1 is done.

It's finally up; this took 34 days by my count, but this time it really did need that much time. I was free the whole time I was doing this, as I said.

Normally, I'd pour in 4–8 hours every day for a chapter; this chapter came in at 8–12 hours a day. I even worked on it for 14 hours last weekend. I didn't see this coming, that the process of developing would take this long.

This chapter has around 1300 renders and 11 animations. Note: (This is I, trying to save up as much render time as possible.)

As to why I spent so many hours on this chapter, I'd like to use pizza sizes as an example:

2x 12-inch pizza is smaller than a 1x 18-inch pizza

What I'm meaning to say is that:

2x chapters at around 700-800 render each takes less time(hour-based) than this chapter with 1300 renders; the processing time increases exponentially.

This is the most exhausting chapter to write and not merely because of its length.
The amount of rewriting, transitioning, and drawing parallels and connections between scenes past and present I had to do for this chapter is staggering.
Not to mention the precise details in the speech and the personality of each character. I'll post the more important ones on the behind-the-scenes content on the day of public release. A week after the exclusive release I'm still worrying that it's not polished enough.

It was an absolute challenge but I did it, it's done. As I said; all heroines are in this chapter. so look forward to that, but the fanservice is way less in this one compared to the previous,  so if that is what you're after, then I suggest waiting for the next chapter. *Wink*
