SOUND KAPITAL: REPATRIATED
Added 2025-09-12 21:43:30 +0000 UTCThe latest episode of our ongoing series on Sound Kapital. Discussed: ghost cities, EBM basslines, the 909, media bias, factory work, alternate futures. There's some light barking due to the arrival of the hated mailman. I mention starting a series of shorter episodes covering our contemporary Years of Lead situation. Lmk if anyone would enjoy this....

Now I need to watch How Yukong Moved the Mountains. As well as something detailing changes since that time.

2025-09-14 13:54:17 +0000 UTCLove this one. One of the shittiest things we Western liberals do is stand on the benefits of our own Industrial Revolution and then look at other countries’ Industrial Revolutions and say “look how horrible this is!” Very easy to judge others by standards we only can live up to because we went through the shit ourselves.

2025-09-14 13:42:56 +0000 UTCInteresting as always, Dan. One of my best friends moved to Wuhan in 2010- it was only meant to be a 1yr contract but he ended up falling in love with the place and the people, & married a local girl. Like you said, we were (are) just so propagandised about the country. Oh god, I doubt a US politics series will be “short” 😅 but yep, let’s have at it x
