Maria C (who some of you know), encouraged me to do a few videos breaking down a handful of songs on the album. I've been gunshy about front facing video on socials. Maybe from podcasting for 5 years? Maybe from associating that format with psychos bellowing at their cameras as they sit in a Tim Hortons parking lot in Peterborough. Maybe because I hate TikTok? Well, I was wrong. I love to do it. It's fun. People seem to enjoy watching it as well!
This month I'll be posting 11 videos about SOUND KAPITAL here. The first will be a longer overview of where the band was at when we wrote and recorded the album, then a song by song breakdown and finally a post mortem on that entire album cycle and those two years of my life. I'll get into GEAR, TOUR MISHAPS and FOOD. Lyrics too. The last week of July I'll host an AMA on the discord and we'll finally bite the bullet and watch Born In East LA. I'm excited.
If people like it, I'll work backwards through the catalog.
