The Question of Bling
Added 2021-04-21 09:39:32 +0000 UTCSo, all the designs are done, vectorised and almost ready to go... as soon as settle on the Question of Bling.
Most people said they dislike glitter, and I concur - BUT my manu can do pearlescent enamel, which looks absolutely spiffy and held-back, and I'm definitely using that for the dark blues in Tilion, and Arien's dress! (Here is an example from Etsy, for reference.)
For Eärendil, I'm debating putting in an actual rhinestone. It would be 2mm big, the size shown in the image above. I've seen examples and they do look pretty nice, but of course the stone would be bigger than I envision a Silmaril to be... what do you think?

Pearlescent - yes, rhinestone - no. (Sorry so short, have to log on to work system now!)

2021-04-22 07:45:07 +0000 UTCI'm not a fan of the rhinestone, to be honest. It looks a bit...flashlight-y, and I'd worry about it falling off and leaving the pin looking ugly
