So, sorry for the hiatus, but I enjoyed a few wonderful days with my parents and my daughter - visiting the zoo with two new(ish)born polar bear girls named Anna and Elsa (and falling so madly in love with a Caucasian squirrel that I can't promise I won't put it in a costume), enjoying relatively low coronavirus cases and fewer restrictions than at home, having a tiny little birthday party and staying up late into the night to discuss the state of the world and German as well as US politics. There are few people with whom I can talk for hours and hours and hours like my parents. <3
That meant no art. But I'm pretty sure I'll continue the art for a while after October. At the very least, if you're drawing dormice, you have less mental capacity to worry about the state of the world, which is turning some frigthening corners right about now...
School starts again tomorrow. A local school in a neighbouring district, which experienced an incredible 600 new infections per 100k inhabitants over the last seven days, has already halved classes. I suppose it's only a matter of time before my day job becomes something rather unrecognisable from what I usually do, too...
