The new batch is here, and they're gorgeous again! My daughter and I have been inspecting, grading, and pinning all day!
I love how they all turned out. I'm especially pleased with Maglor's golden harp - an unexpected favourite.
Those solid gold bits turned out lovely again (the harp, Finrod's crown, and Fingon's hair decoration). And of course, photographing the pins, I find out that Finrod's crown was silver. Meh. But I wouldn't have made it a silver-plated pin anyway, so I hope nobody will mind.
Asfaloth is also rather dark for a "white horse", but I was too scared of massive staining if he'd been pure white. He was already a very error-prone design element. And of course, I'm a watercolour artist, I can't use white! ;) But the horse turned out spectacular; I'm so in love with him!
