I spent the end of last week with my dad in Northern Germany, so there was a lot to do and I didn't have my desk or mind free for the Arien portrait for Paul. I am still constantly thinking about pins, especially now that I know that (a) it is possible to get perfect ones and that (b) they sell incredibly well! I do make a little less money with them than with prints, but they somehow make me far happier, if that makes any sense. ^____^ I can't wait to bring them to all the cons this year! MagicCon is next, the weekend after Easter.
The remade Maedhros pins for you guys are finally going into production again this week (somehow, communication with the supplier is fairly slow and error-riddled).
In the meantime, here's a design I'm really fond of. The map will be gold (raised and recessed), the rest hard enamel, as usual. I also will do the dragon and Éowyn fairly soon, as well as a larger pin (around 5 cm/2 inches, twice as big as the last ones. Possibly already for the dragon. Any thoughts what a larger pin might be? Thorondor/Gwaihir? Someone on a horse? Absolutely someone on a horse. Who?
I'll postpone the sons of Feanor set until after I know whether larger sets sell. Right now, I'm a little worried that I'll be left with loads of little Curufins that nobody wants. ;)
Welcome to two new Patrons - Cécilia and Elena! So glad to see the crowd still going strong. <3
