Mockups getting more ingenious...

I don't know about you, but I couldn't quite imagine how large the pin was going to be, so I did the obvious: made a little paper cutout based on the manufacturer's file. XD

Here it is next to a US cent. Europeans: US cents are rather bigger than our Euro-cents. UK people: Okay, your pennies are HUGE. You don't count.

This whole mockup business is going to get more and more ridiculous, I suppose. The reason is I was facing a problem timing all of this. The manufacturer doesn't make trial versions (no German manufacturer does that), so I couldn't have one made before the campaign. But if I'd had them made first and then advertised them, I'd have had no clue how many I needed.

Naturally, my solution was the dumbest one possible, by running the campaign without being able to show you the finished product, but still ordering them without knowing the exact number. Woo-hoo!

I do love how the little lines turn out - look, even at this size, the cleft in his chin still shows! This is, incidentally, why I waited so long to design a pin. I've been wanting to do one for the better part of a year, but thought I'd have to go far more stylised.

The pins are already in production! Thank you to all who've signed up for the pin already - about a hundred people now! I can't wait to present to you the real version, not a mockup.
