You certainly noticed there was relatively little art over the summer; the reason for this is that my eyes don't permit me much. My ophthalmologist has pretty much given up my right eye as a bad job; so the solution he's pushing for is that my left eye needs to take over. Which sounds easier than it is. My left eye has been pretty much a cosmetic add-on for the last four decades of my life, and is utterly bewildered that anyone would expect it to do some occasional seeing. Meaning I have to force my brain to activate my left eye, which means double vision, headaches and exhaustion by 3 pm every day, and that, of course, means pretty little that I can do with my time. 

I'm trying to do this, and get rewire my brain to compensate, but that will take a while, during which you may feel you're not getting much out of your Patronage. If you feel that way, please feel totally free to downgrade or drop out! This month has already seen a bit of an exodus, and I want you to know that I want nobody to stay because they feel compelled to. I don't want to turn this into some sort of "Gofundme", mainly because I'm lucky to live in a country where medical bills don't equate to financial ruin, and that definitely fills me with a great amount of gratitude. So if you're still fine with sponsoring me with possibly reduced rewards, yay (and more gratitude to boot)! But if there's any nagging "Yeah, but what's in it for me?" at the back of your head, I'd rather you left happy and gratefully than staying on grudgingly!
